Now: Episode 9 'Ball of Magic Fire"

Reggie is the man that now lives in the house Sarah and her brother previously lived in. He leads Boyd and Kenny to the room where he says he heard Paula, the woman who also lived there screaming in her sleep. Saying weird things like "They touch, they break, they steal. No one here is free." and without warning he heard something crack within her which leads to what they see before them. Kenny's expression...well, fuck.

After leaving the house, Boyd has to face the rest of the town, including Tian Chan and the kids that were just in the diner all of them are staring in awe WTF just happened. With daylight dying at a rapid rate, he just wants to get everyone inside. He takes Julie, as she is adult enough to handle more of these tough situations. Boyd comes to a weird decision that NO ONE shall sleep tonight.

Over at the forest, Jim is trying to calm down the situation but Randall is literally not having any of that and outright says it to her face that he firmly believes she is one of them! Donna having to say for the first time in front of them that they found a way to kill one of the monsters. Randall is like "OHHHHHH Now rules have changed around here, huh?"

He is going more off the rails to even accuse Jim of being in on it too for putting initially putting those thoughts in his head to see how he would react. He knocks Jim to the ground and whips out his knife getting ready to rumble. 

With a stroke of luck, Boyd appears here too and but he gots gun. Funny of Randall to bring a knife to a gun fight. Now that things are mostly under control, he tells the group they are hella running out daylight so lets get the keys to the truck and GTFO.

"These keys?!" And motherfucka yeets them into the void.

 At Tian Chen's house, Julie is having second thoughts of being okay with his dad being out there is the forest. Jade and Victor come running up to the house wondering why the heck they are not allowed to sleep tonight. Everything is just such a ruckas and Tabitha is trying to chill Ethan's 20 questions. Also, don't worry about Jim, he's with good people, ya heard?

At the police station, Kenny escorts Sarah and locks the door behind him. Sarah just keeps yapping and yapping and he is just not in the mood to talk to her, for obvious reasons. She can't take the hint so she continues to yak away until something she says piques his interest. For example, she brought up when her and Boyd made their fantastic voyage to the village a while back and he made a comment how this forest "feeds on our pain". Buuut what if it does more than that? 

"What do you mean?"

Well, her brother, Nathan used to be terrified of cicadas when he was a kid and in his own words it sounded like monsters. MONSTERS. She asks an extremely interesting question and asks that "What if the people that died, their fears become part of the forest?" Yeah, what if that is Nathan out there in the form of cicadas? Mind blown!

Reggie is taking refuge at Colony House as is Kristi and Mari still in withdrawals. Fatima is taking initiative to help keep their sanity's afloat despite Reggie originally saying we are all going to fucking die. 

Ellis comes to check up on Mari and helps Kristi carry her up the stairs to rest. 

In the forest, everyone is now in the RV, lucky they still have the talisman. Boyd has had enough of Randall being a fuck ass so he handcuffs him and tells him to STFU. He still ends up reprimanding Jim for goading him. At least he ain't handcuffing him so Jim gets a slap on the wrist fo dat.

After Marielle is all set with her room. Ellis asks Kristi since this "no sleeping tonight" thing will affect Fatima. Rest assured, nah since she must be like 2 months preggo at this point. Plus, that is a very disturbing thought. 

Tabitha and Jade are taking a look at the drawings and he comes across the drawings of the civil war soldiers that he was hallucinating over. Tabitha is like nahh bro it's depictions of stories their mother used to read to them. Maybe he is still on to something though. She spots another picture to show him that this was something that appeared in her dreams. The tower that Victor's mother went to rescure children locked in the tower thinking it was the "only way to get everyone home." Now she is coming to terms that maybe the scare inducing imagery of those children is actually them asking for her help.

Tian Chen whips out some games for them to play. Ethan is being a party pooper asking if we are all going to die. Julie tries to divert attention but he snaps at his sissy and storms off despite everyone trying to get things back to normal. Not even his pal, Victor can turn that frown upside down. 

Over at the RV, Jim is watching Boyd making those bullets with the Mr. Smiley's bile. Donna volunteers Randall to be the guinea pig and be the first to test out the bile bullet. But does he do it? Well fuck he has to figure it out now because more and more monsters are coming from the woodworks, pun intended. To Donna's horror he notices that they all just stopped moving and collectively stare.

The ballerina music begins to start playing, but who hears it? I think all of them do because the music is actually coming from the radio! Ohhh ohhhh hooo ohhhh. On the radiooooo.

Mariella is going apeshit in her room throwing shit around and stuff. She even lashes out at Kristi for leading her down that path. You know, her disappearing leading her to relapse just before she got to this god forsaken town. She immediately regrets her words and they kiss and makeup. No one said withdrawals was going to be easy.

Over at the police station Sarah continues to try to make small talk and Kenny still is not interested in socializing with her. She wiggles out an apology it's so sad because it is so obvious she has great  remorse for what happened to his dad. She even says that she originally wanted to go in the forest but Boyd didn't want her to. Well Kenny finally breaks his silence only to tell her he doesn't give a shit. 

Reggie is going in an unfortunate break up down and rings the bells telling people to wake up and we're all going to die. He is being beligerant causing a scene so Elgin is forced to move him upstairs.

Boyd says every time he hears that ballerina music bad shit follows so they seriously need to get the heck out of there. He takes the gun about to go outside when they feel a BUMP underneath their feet. Boyd beckons him over to his side and says to get ready to run. The lights in the RV start to short circuit so Randall grabs a wrench and breaks the window and runs for his life.

Jim and Donna run and try to get that van going. Boyd stays behind and starts shooting. He hears his late wife call out to him and sees a snippet of her inside the RV telling him to come back to her, He hears a screech out in the distance but when he turns his heard back, she is no longer there. Donna calls for him so he takes off. 

Randall that dumbass should have stayed with them because now he is all alone running in the forest. He runs into cicadas which quickly take him over. 

Kenny walks back into the front to see Sarah staring at the gun sitting on the desk that Kenny previously taunted over her using on herself. He has a change of heart and tells her to put the dang thing away. Sarah says she doesn't want to cause anyone anymore pain. She inserts 2 bullets in the gun and does a russian roulette on herself and shoots multiple times.

Lucky for her none of those chambers had any of the bullets and Kenny snatches the gun away.

At Colony House, Tilly commends Fatima for her leadership skills and says she is going to be a great mom. QUE?! She has only told a selected number of people and they weren't it. Now that she confirms, now Tilly and Elgin are in on the news too so yay. In the middle of their conversation, they notify everyone that Donna is back.

Upstairs is where Kristi continues to nurse Mariella back to health and leaves the room briefly. Ohhh noooooo Mariella is starting to see the cicadas and she walks back in to try to calm her down. 

Downstairs too where all the people wants answers Boyd and Donna are trying to prevent Jim from leaving which triggers people pointing their guns pointing at Jim so he finally backs down. They hear Kristi's plea for help so Boyd and Donna sonic their way up there.

Kristi is emotionally going haywire and Boyd is doing his best to see what the heck is going on. Her eyes are starting to change colors and shit. wut. Ellis comes in the room because in light of new information, he totally has to hear this like RIGHT NOW. Donna says she can take it from here to get going!

It's Elgin. He had this dream about something that he was supposed to remember and he's been struggling to unravel that dream. However, when Fatima confirmed she was pregnant just now is when it all came together for him. Ehhh Boyd is the only one is that room who didn't know. Uh oh.

Anyway so the dream, Bakta, the bus driver is also in attendance. Elgin relays his dream of a boy dressed in all white the same exact line "Here they come, they come for three unless you stop the melody." Bakta recognizes the nursury and recites the rest of the it.

Jade is thinking Tabitha is a little loco. What if she is right, though? Jade said himself that everything might be connected. What if Victor's mom is right about saving those children being the key to going home? 

It gets interrupted when Julie starts to go in a panic just like Mariella.
