Now: Episode 11

Dong Rim is seen sitting all by herself and on the floor with her arms holding her knees. She is having a series of extremely unfortunately flashbacks ranging from her being bullied with the security guard at the school taking notice but turned away, to Chairman Choi telling her having good grades is what her dad would have wanted, even all the way down to her confrontation with Ms Na which ended in a SLAP across her face and not to mention when Dong Rim caught the conversation of a Doctor J's superior telling her to forge documentation on the father's death report. Let's not forget the stuff with that fuck ass, Jin Seok. All these there terrible memories she is ruminating in.

You wanna know why?!?!

Because homegirl now has the fear black eyes now! Bruhhhhhhh.

Meanwhile while there are mutants out there is also Sunnyeo repeating the line again and again "Anyone who does not take me in shall die." All while the mutants are retreating but hold up now.....it's actually not Sunnyeo like we all believed. This big bad villain right here? Nope, the grand reveal is that Dong Rim is the one responsible for the tentacle deaths.

Think about it. The security guard? deds

Ms Na? She not dead yet but she got hella attacked by it.

Doctor J? Yeah we saw her fate at the end of last episode.

Dude being impaled? Doctor J's superior.

All while these deaths are happening, Dong Rim is seen standing staring menacingly. Holy shit this is the real one this whole time!!! Did you happen to guess that? I sure as fuck didn't. My original guess was that Dong Rim was the murderer of Hwa Sun's husband after a heavy duty makeover but nahh I was totes wrong.

So these events take place right after the little showdown with Doctor J turning double agent on Hwa Sun. Tentacle swoops in and kills Doctahhh. Lunges for Tae Han but he dodges and hits the liquid nitrogen and "Yaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh's" out loud which Sunnyeo can empathize with the pain.

After the tentacle retracts, guess who creepily peeks there head in the door? 

The pieces are starting to come together for Hwa Sun now that she is starting to suspect the stoic teenage girl who doesn't look at all phased by the fuckery that just happened. Her attempts to feign "Wutz a-goin' on?" is not convincing her. Mr. Choi pops in and says that he was just talking to her in the hallway AKA an alibi that she had nothing to do with what just happened.

An immediate meeting for all the main adults is called for...nice that they are at this table once again woo hoo. Sgt Park proceeded to explain to Choi and Tae Han what they just witnessed, including finding out the tentacle's weakness. It is explained that anything the liquid nitrogen touches would make it freeze which is why the tentacle was freaking the fuck out back there. You probably already know what it is buuuut if you don't know, now you know, reader.

Hwa Sun interrupts to say she thinks she knows exactly who is the monster is hiding in. She observed that upon the contact, she heard it yell in pain, as her and Sunnyeo also felt that pain as well. So the plan is to get their hands on more of that liquid nitrogen so that they can know for sure whoever else reacts to it...is the posessor. At this point she didn't name drop Dong Rim. She needs to be sure.

One problem, though. When the tentacle punctured that gas can, it immediately depleted so they need to find...cue DJ Kaled...ANOTHER ONE.

Tae Han takes the reigns yet again and volunteers himself to go look for this elusive can while everybody chills. Sgt. Park is like hold up there, cowboy!! Me go too. Party of 2. Lolz and they bicker a bit on their way out of the room. 

Ji Hye on the other hand, the poor soul, she is struggling. She is still tied to her chair and her husband returns to see how wifey is doing. Not good, bro. Well, good news is that nobody else knows that she inhaled the smoke so that's a good start now. While hubby is peeking out of the corner, Ji Hye starts to get overwhelmed with the black eyes! She is getting flashes of bad memories like that psycho killer cop impersonator and her ordeal escaping the aftermath. She starts panicking saying that people are coming for her baby. Hyun Ho tries his best to calm her down and that he will protect her but she's spazzing like crazy. 

Do Yoon heard everything.

She gets sad flashbacks of her own such as her last sighting of her mother that risked her life to save her. Chang pops up behind her so she shushes him so they don't wake up the baby and she leads him away.

Dong Rim, on the other hand, is rummaging through the cabinets when Hwa Sun ninjas behind her asking what the fuck does she think she is doing. Spooked, she says she was just looking for a gauze.  Yeah ok but yeah she asks if she by any chance knows the map to the hospital. You know, since she was able to help out back at the high school with the aforementioned map. DING DING! Dong Rim claims she does and volunteers to get it for her. How sweet.

Thanks but no thanks. Hwa Sun will get it her own damn self.

Dong Rim next is seen walking into a bathroom stall and pulling up her sleeve to reveal a nasty ass wound on her arm. She is taken aback by her pain but she applies some kind of medicine on it. Overheard is the repeating of the lines from the group meeting about the liquid nitrogen that the human host totally felt the pain when it touched the nitrogen. Ouch so that means that gnarly ass scar from was the nitrogen?!?!? Poor girl.

Mr. Choi is out in the hallway and sees her walk out of the bathroom. He is surprised, apparently but he does the hard job to confront her. He unapologetically holds up her diary that she previously dropped and asks for her to elaborate on her shit. Turns out that each and every name written in this book is either dead has been turned into a mutant...like a korean version of Death Note, eh?

EXPLAIN!

Dong Rim be like  YEAH DAT ME SO WHAT?! Just kidding, she is not aggressive at all with Choi. She calmly explains that sure, those were the exact people she hated. Mr. Choi says that Hwa Sun inhaled the smoke and she didn't turn mutant so that means she has just as much as an equal chance to not to into a mutant as well. He has a firm belief that she can withstand it too, which is why he didn't tell anyone about her Death Note knock off. She like totally ignores him and dead ass just walks away like what even? Teenagers, amirite?

The map is successfully retrieved and a few people huddle back up to make a plan. Of course Tae Han has his handy dandy ax while Sgt is like bruh. Mr. Choi knocks on the door to ask to privately speak with Hwa Sun. Shit's going down in more ways than one.

In the hallway, Choi cuts to the chase and tells her he knows she suspects Dong Rim BUT he personally thinks the host of the tentacle could actually be Ms. Na since she wrecked shit up when she was cuffed and is currently on the loose. Ehhh Hwa Sun just ain't buying it. She is starting to get suspicious that Choi is so protective of her until....

Well, Mr. Choi drops the bomb and tells exactly why he is just that protective over her. He proceeds to explain to Hwa Sun that his father, Chairman Choi (I always referred to him as Chairman for the previous episode recaps) was the one who is responsible for killing Dong Rim's father during a drunken hit and run and covered it up. He feels guilt that he stood by to witness the bribery like a coward (his own words!) He feels since he failed her the first time, he wants to make it right and protect her THIS time, even if she is the tentacle's human host. Color me shocked. Hwa Sun must be thinking, anyway.

It is not in the middle of the night. Everyone is sleeping. Sneaky ass Do Yoon hops out of bed just in time to see Tae Han and Sgt. Park make their moves to search for that sweet, sweet, liquid nitrogen. It ain't sweet but ya know what I mean!

Meanwhile, Ms. Na be looking like AW HELL NAW fugly.

The trio being Sgt. Park, Tae Han and Hwa Sun make their way down the hallway but BAM! It now becomes a party of four because that fuck ass, Snake Eyes makes his presence known with a shit eating grin on his face. Sgt Park be like "WHAT U DOING HERE BRO?!"

Tae Han comes to a screeching halt asking him why did he talk to Snake Eyes like he knew him? As much as Sgt Park tries to play it off Snake Eyes, that butthole, taunts further by saying "Ah, so he doesn't know yet? Well, later dayz." And takes his exit leaving behind a trail of doubt breadcrumbs in his wake.

The quick questioning gets shut down, at least for the moment as Sgt Park just tells Hwa Sun to continue leading the way.

Snake Eyes meets back with the cooky cult groupies where they are all staring at a recently deceased body. He claims that Hwa Sun's group is responsible for this for he warned Sunnyeo to not help them if this is what they were going to end up doing. Snake Eyes proceeds to plants seeds of doubt into others who were hesitant to believe. The ones who flopped over to their side (previously on Hwa Sun's group) don't believe that the group that has police officers could be capable of killing in cold blood.

Ahhh, well.

He drops the bomb about Tae Han's alleged bribery that got him fired. He just conveniently left out that he framed him. Proof? Well he holds up a phone that's a recording of security footage of Tae Han's group in the hallway. Except....he recorded a jumpcut from when the goon went in and skipped to resume recording when Tae Han's group came in...in an attempt to frame him once again. Boo, you whore.

They stupidly believe him and he has no problem riling them up even further to cause a mob mentality so let's give them a minute so they can gather their pitchforks and make it official.

Sunnyeo, on the otherhand, is not having a fun time at all whatsoever. She is in grief while she is in the Black Void asking why she isn't good enough. It may be a flashback because she is seen walking through the hospital with a stoic look on her face. She keeps chanting "All those who defy me shall die" (Little confused here since Dong Rim was saying a similar saying too). While she is chanting, it appears that those who were "dead" seem to have reanimated and gone legit mutant. When they get to the door, she happily lets them all in while this huge ass group comes barreling towards unsuspecting innocents. She still standing there like a psycho is smiling and thinking back to that scene where Hwa Sun tells Sunnyeo that the monster is only manipulating her. 

Does she listen?

Hell to the no. Let's see where that gets her.

Back to the trio again where they are cautiously making their way further into the hospital. They are cleared and enter the Dermatology doors. No mutants? GREAT! Tae Han enters one room and hits the jackpot on the first try. The happiness is shortlived as it is noted that someone sabotaged the cans and it is now depleted. Well, fuck.

Fucking hell indeed!! Because the group of mutants come hurling in the room so the trio have no choice but to barricade themselves in the same room. 

While Tae Han and Sgt Park are holding the door shut, his conscience eats up him where he finally confesses to him that he was the one who took part in framing Tae Han due to his gambling debts and did what Snake Eyes ordered him to do from the black mail. The reason why he said this is because he wants to do one last thing to help him.

Tae Han is looking ANG-RY. Before much further can be discussed, Hwa Sun comes up with a plan and takes a gurney and smashed through the door to not only yeet the mutants out of the way but give them room to make a mad dash to escape.

And escape they did.

Sgt Park almost didn't make it as a mutant attacked him but Tae Han ax's the mutant a question for it to die and it die. It was a tense escape as they had to make some killer moves and dodges but of course all three manage to escape because plot points.

Once all three make it out of there and room being secured, Sgt Park, with his guilt ridden face he thanks Tae Han for having his back but he...just doesn't accepts a "thank you" all he can mutter out is "OMG u cringe." And goes to catch up with Hwa Sun.

Laughter is short lived as all three make it to the end of the hallway to see a most terrible sight.

Sunnyeo has officer Hyun Ho at knife point. Earlier when she was mediating or something, she was able to see through the eyes of Ji Hye while her husband was tending to her telling her he would do anything to protect her. Anything, huh?

She tricked Hyun Ho in his weakest moment and lured him. She said that if he wants the black smoke to be removed from Ji Hye, then HE HAS TO BE THE ONE TO SABOTAGE THE GAS CANS. Nothing like a little emotional manipulation to further the narrative, eh?

At knifepoint, Hyun Ho says in tears how sorry he was but he loves his wife. Do Yoon pops out from the corner and tells at Sunnyeo to let him go! Sunnyeo gives her an evil smile and asks if she would rather die.

Oop that seems to be the trigger Hyun Ho needed because as soon as her attention is on Do Yoon, he lunges back control of the knife and stabby stab. After he stabbed her, he demands her to tell him how to say Ji Hye. 

Not much can be done because the mutants end up breaking through the dermatology doors so now they have to yeet out of there.

In other news, Chang ends up waking up while all the ruckas is ruckas-ing just in time to witness Dong Rim get out and walk out of the room. What Dong Rim doesn't know is that Choi is hot on her tail and follows her. 

Once everyone gets back to safety of the room Hyun Ho begs Sgt Park not to tell his wife what he had done. Hwa Sun lightly reprimands Do Yoon asking WTF did she think she was doing. She's sowwy, she just wanted to protect her somehow. Little kid logic. Hwa Sun doesn't get mad at all and embraces her for a hug.

Choi is nowhere to be found because nobody knows that he is following Dong Rim. He s now in this darkly lit wing of the hospital but he hears ominous squeaks off in the distance so he grabs a 2x4 to protect himself and continues to walk.

Hwa Sun goes to check in on Ji Hye and she freaks the fuck out. She calms her down and says to stay strong for just a little bit longer but Hyun Ho is right behind her so she respectfully takes her leave. While she gives Sgt Park the update, she gets one of those migraine winces again!!!!! She is able to see through the eyes of a mutant that has his eyes on Choi. SHIT! Mr. CHOI IS TROUBLE!!!  So she's like GODDAMIT CHOI and runs out of the room to save the damsel in distress.

That mutant is of course Ms. Na who lunges at Choi with her black eyes and went full ass mutant. Holy shit it was an intense fight but he was able to actually kill her in no time. Once she is flat out dedz, he hears Dong Rim off in the distance saying what a coward he was and allowed people to lie and cover up.

Dong Rim is also black eyes dead. He tries to make amends and say he is sorry but it is too late. Dong Rim is under complete control of the black eyes and in a swift motion, a tentcle comes hurling at him and impales him. Noooooo!!!! In his dying breath, he still says he is sorry. OMG this is so terrible. I want to cry. Dong Rim is....gone.

Back in the front wth Snake Eyes leading the discussion on how to evict Hwa Sun and the rest of her group out of here, he says that they need to be smart about it and not act out on impulse. He tells them all to find weapons and off they go. The only people who are hesitant are the defectors, the ones who were previously with Hwa Sun. The 2 women there are hesitant because Ji Hye and her newborn are there, plus Hwa Sun saved their asses multiple times. One of the men doesn't care and thinks Hwa Sun has ulterior motives so he goes to join the cult freaks.

Sunnyeo ain't doing so hot. While she is writhing in pain, there is ominous stomping in the distance. Oh noes. She is back in the Black Void. The unseen monster voice is harshly reprimanding her for the shit she pulled with Hyun Ho. His orders were to specifically not to fuck with Hwa Sun so WHAT THE FUCK, YO!

Sunnyeo pleads back saying she was only trying to protect him as they found his weakness and wanted to prevent them access to the liquid nitrogen. This does not please the unseen voice and calls her a useless bitch. Captions blur out any and all curse/bad words. In fact, he says he is done with her.

As much as she pleads to not foresaken her, she starts to get PTSD flashbacks of people treating her like shit prior to blackout. This is when she decides to finally embrace that black smoke and looks like she is finally turning into mutant. The group of mutants come hurling back as she mutters that she vows to kill everyone. Everyone! Even her faithful followers? EVERYONE. So she grabs her knife and walks away...

Cult freaks have all their weapons getting ready to start their mob once Sunnyeo gets back but...it's been a hot minute so people are getting ansy. While they are waiting they hear ominous creaks in the distance and seems to grow louder and louder. Yup, it's the mutants. They get bombarded with mutants and everyone is getting slaughtered. Sucks, bro.

Completely unaware to the bloodshed that is currently happening, Tae Han is accompanying Hwa Sun on their mission to save Choi but she reach him too late. He is deader than a doornail. She sheds a few tears. Tae Han on the other hand, picks up Dong Rim's diary where she reads a couple entries.

It's pretty sad. Dong Rim is documenting her mental decline and describing how she feels she can't control not being herself more and more each day. At the end of the diary was a hitlist where she listed each and every person associated with the unjustified killing of her dad. Each and every single name listed are ones who either got turned into mutants or are dead, like Choi. 

In a bit of a retrospective, back in Episode 1 when Hwa Sun was in the Black Void and though she was hallucinated Lee Soo Hyun in the Void, it is revealed that it was Dong Rim this whole time. The monster was using Dong Rim's trauma to kill these people. 

Mutated Sunnyeo reaches the front of the hospital and rips down the altar and shit in such aggravated frustration. There is giggling behind her. All she can do is continue to yell in anger but too bad she is not able to complete her rant because a tentacle shoots out and impales her so she is officially dead as well. Dong Rim, looking like she has fully embraced the darkness. She isn't a full mutant yet but the black eyes are prevalent. She lets out an evil smile as she is surrounded by dead bodies.

Hwa Sun and Tae Han head back up the stairs and comes across the one girl defector. She is all alone and says through her tears about the mutants infiltrated the hospital but she wants to save her friend that is still up there. All three arrive and the school girl cries as she finds him killed. Not a single survivor in sight.

They slowly walk around to survey the blood shed in the area and even find Sunnyeo's lifeliess body by the brother altar. Gnarly, dude.

Hyun Ho is trying to feed Ji Hye, no longer tied up, but she feels such guilt. Sgt Park is just chilling not too far away when he hears mutants trying to open the door. He blocks it just in time but yells at Hyon Ho for backup. Some have managed to break through!!! Do Yoon and Chang are hiding under the beds but another attacks Hyun Ho trying to shield his wife. Ji Hye's eyes get enveloped in black again and grabs a pair of scissors and stabs the mutant, saving her family. She flops to the ground as her eyes return to normal.

Chang, still on the bed turns his head to find Do Yoon, not Do Yoon. She is gone!

When Tae Han and Hwa Sun are still in the main floor, they see a message on the wall from Dong Rim saying to meet her ASAP as she will be waiting with Do Yoon. This sends them running to the room her room.

Once they get there, she is indeed gone! As they collectively look at the ceiling, there is a hole as it is the entry/exit point of the tentacle when it abducted Do Yoon. Eerie vibes!

Hwa Sun gets a wince and oooooh it is in that chemcal facility where the drone detected  a few episodes ago. And yes, she actually saw the liquid nitrogen. Fuckadoodle doo.

Final scene is at the exact facility where a man in a hazmat suit is seen dragging another dead hazmat guy in a room filled....with other hazmat dead guys!!!!! Oh noes. 

This is when he walked out and finds the drone in that episode. HOLY SHIT!!!!!!
